an introduction of sorts
two poets are stranded in brisbane! they find themselves
forced back upon their wits, & poems ensue! this is the
result of their unbearably serious yet refreshingly zany
discontinuous distillation of the 1999 subverse queensland
poetry festival, as seen through their by turns wide, jaded,
& blearily out of focus eyes.
feeling deleuzional, feeling tired & emotional, strung out on
too much coffee & too many readings & looking frantically
for lines of flight, only the pleasures of language had shoulders
sufficiently broad. falling over, falling out, falling about
laughing -- thrill to their at times tenuous grasp on reality &
their always deft manipulation of their materials.
