ted's honours thesis

developments in australian postmodernist poetry:
a study of the poetry of John Tranter and John Forbes

the documents below were generated from the final version of the thesis i submitted as part of my BA(Hons) in 1993. the pagination is different thanks to changes of platform (the original thesis was written on my trusty Amiga 1200), font and line spacing. everything is in pdf because it was so much simpler. if you don't have it installed already, you'll need a copy of the acrobat reader (available on every single magazine coverdisk or from adobe's ftp site).

a note on the text: both poets continued to publish throughout the 1990s. the thesis obviously doesn't examine anything published after mid-1993. if you're interested in the work with which the thesis attempts to engage, John Tranter edits jacket magazine and also maintains a personal site. John Forbes died in early 1998. A collection of poems, Damaged Glamour (ISBN 1-876040-10-6), was published posthumously.
