
biographical information
ted nielsen was born in 1968 in townsville, where for just over three decades he was fortunate to be able to rely on the unstinting generosity of his family & friends. he has been writing for over sixteen years & has had a number of poems published in small magazines within australia.
ted has taught in literary studies & effective writing courses at james cook university, where he also worked as a research administrator. he has occasionally worked as the poetry editor for the literary journal LiNQ.
ted was an invited performer at the 1997, 1998 & 1999 queensland poetry festivals. his first collection of poetry, search engine, was published in 1999 by five islands press as part of their new poets publishing program. his second collection, wet robot, was published by vagabond press as part of their rare objects series in 2001.
ted currently works as a research administrator at the university of sydney. he’s available for readings & drinks.
