the vatican museum
a day here was total art damage... some of the statues were impressive, but at times it felt like i was trapped in some kind of enormous home & gardening warehouse... the sistine chapel was kind of okay, but by the time i got to it i was pretty much in sensory overload... i had a giggling fit & left... & yeah, the whole thing was kind of obscene at the same time... worse than the colosseo in a lot of ways... the force of all that money & power was palpable...
