photos - 4 january 2001, dulwich hill

still getting the hang of this whole digital camera thing... pedestrians have started running for cover whenever they see me approaching... <grin> andrew also included a 10Mb flash card with the camera, & in the camera's lowest quality mode (which is still way good enough for the kind of hacking around i'm gonna be doing with it) it stores about 120 images... (don't panic, i haven't taken that many photos... yet...)

i'm off into the city tomorrow to go to the nsw gallery with keri & louise & richard, & i'd imagine there'll be photo opportunities right up the wazoo (yes, i'll have fun fun fun 'til someone takes the camera away...) today, however, i'm continuing the slow task of cleaning up the flat, with, of course, the obligatory walk up to the shops to buy the paper...

abandoned shopping trolley hotline... a lot of the flats in dulwich hill are so small that people have to set up their fridges & washing machines in the street...

lots of graffiti around the place... this is the laneway where the hippo bin lives...

& a little further along, another fine example of the art...

backstreet laneways are great...

sometimes signs are just too ambiguous for their own good...

i keep hoping to score some really cool junk, but i guess i'm just gonna hafta start getting up earlier...

it's good to see some kind-hearted person has been feeding the hippos...
