8.00am, dulwich hill
so i'm still freaked out (but in a good way!) by andrew & anna's incredible xmas present to me! you guys! but let it never be said that i'm one to look a gift horse through the viewfinder... uh, that is... uh... [start again!]
right, so i was given a brand new digital camera for xmas! & now i can take lotsa photos. so this is where i live. dulwich hill, 8.00am or thereabouts, 2 january 2001.
this is the view from the door of my building, looking down the driveway. as you can see, my building's set back from the street a fair ways.

here's the bus stop near the funeral director's on new canterbury road. this is one of two stops at which i often wait for the bus to work. but not today! i'm still on holidays!
one of the many dogs that live in dulwich hill. the butcher had just given this little spaniel a bone, & it was heading off to have a bit of a chomp on it.
downtown dulwich hill. marrickville road looking back towards new canterbury road. if you look closely you'll see one of the very exciting vans that frequent this neck of the woods...
my favourite pedestrian crossing sign is illuminated at night. if only i could say the same...
the dulwich hill post office. you can write to me at PO Box 473, dulwich hill, nsw, 2203 if, for instance, you'd like to demand that i learn to take better pictures.
the amazing mr arms-o-meat! the souvlaki bar makes a decent falafel for those of us who don't fancy chowing down on a bit of bicep.
one of the vans that deliver to the butchers' shops in dulwich hill. mmm, country killed meat...
the bus depot turnaround thingy at the corner of marrickville & new canterbury roads. the 426 terminates in dulwich hill. i catch the 426 to work sometimes, but it's a bit slower than the 428 that runs along new canterbury road.
new canterbury road goes to canterbury in this direction...
or, you can go the other way towards the city...
the lane between the lifeline opportunity shop & one of the takeway shops. i love the little hippo on the bin (the logo for one of the bulk rubbish companies).
heading home again, the view down the boulevard looking across piggott street... my flat's at the bottom of the hill.
first floor, magicdogs, robots, ladies' lingerie... uh...
it's kinda messy at the moment. i'm still packing up the rest of linda's stuff to send out to her in canberra. hey look! a new vacuum cleaner! & is that a tyrannosaur-bot?
this is my very exciting kitchen. i guess i should put the washing up away.
kay (hi kay!) gave me the muga boy a few years ago. it's a sculpture based on an image in a japanese painting & it's meant to bring good luck. all things considered, i think it does a great job!
& here's my new computer desk, complete with my computer & my new office chair! this is where the magic(dog) happens!
arrgghh! make it go away! hmmm, i guess i better add cleaning the bathroom mirror to my list of things to do...
