mecha from steel fury

"uh, bobo? are you sure there's supposed to be all this smoke in here?"

bobo robolobo & tyrannosaurus mechs. names to make any rational person break eye-contact... bobo & t-mechs were the characters i played during the playtest of a play-by-mail game called Steel Fury. the two mecha above were loosely based on line drawings of the mecha that appeared on the turnsheets for the game...

bobo's shadowcaster

this is bobo's Shadowcaster, which performed with distinction while bobo was spending most of his time wandering aimlessly along in the mud beside the thames in post-apocalyptic london... of course, as soon as bobo blundered within range of some bad guys, he got his butt well & truly gunned up...

in the world of Steel Fury the Shadowcaster is meant (if my memory serves me correctly) to be used as a light reconnaissance mech. bobo discovered it also does a bang up job of drawing enemy fire...

t-mechs' wolf

of course, there's no way tyrannosaurus mechs would ever pilot a reconnaissance mech. t-mechs chose instead to clamber aboard a Wolf, a multipurpose chassis which proved to be even better than bobo's Shadowcaster at drawing enemy fire... mysteriously enough for a combat mech, the Wolf's inbuilt targeting system appeared to have a distinct aversion to actually shooting anything...
