::: bacon is the answer
another week kicks off… & things could always be worse & probably will be. but what can ya do? reasons to be cheerful over the weekend consisted mainly of the pokemons & sumie, although i also whiled away more than a few hours late saturday night committing crimes against guitar…
spent some time on sunday afternoon wandering around in a snazzy & dangerously well-stocked new bike shop in ebisu, having earlier strapped pokemons to bikes for a leisurely cruise through inner tokyo… found a new park on the side of hiroo that we aren’t wont to frequent, & the pokemons ran riot on the adventure playground bits, which included slides, bridges, ramps & yet another flying fox as well as the usual assortment of swings & faux-motorcycles on springs… hana had her first attempt at the flying fox & we didn’t think we were ever gonna get her away from it…
saturday afternoon we did the real estate thing & narrowly missed out on picking up a piece of land in meguro, which was simultaneously a disappointment & a relief, since while the land & the possibilities of the house that we could have built on it were exciting, the asking price had lots & lots of zeroes at the end of it, even after a back of the envelope conversion into dollars… further opportunities for housing-induced heart failure will no doubt be forthcoming…
plans for the week? my main goal is to try to get my head back into something approximating a place i’m happy to inhabit. sumie is planning to pack up the pokemons & head out to chiba on wednesday, which may or may not assist me in my endeavours. golden week is coming up, so i’m gonna join them in chiba on the weekend, after which we’ll have a few days off next week to just kick back…
