- apparently there was a largish quake off the northern coast earlier today… reports indicate it was felt in tokyo, but apparently not in those parts of tokyo i was in…
- bort/not bort… no new baby just yet (still approx. two weeks away), but we have (at long last) settled on a name… bort excelsior the edge nielsen was almost impossible to go past…
- when will i learn the lesson of talking toys…? the novelty of hana’s new bilingual talking elmo is already wearing thin…
- so there i was approaching the end of the fourth volume of el davebot’s recommended swords & bastardry epic a few days back & i’m thinking to myself, wow, there are a lot of plotlines that are yet to be resolved… how impressed was i to discover there’s a volume five… strange that it doesn’t appear on amazon… checks author’s website… discovers that volume five is still in progress… still, thank you for the rec, el davebot… well worth the time if you enjoy that sort of thing…
- oh, & no visible progress on the house neither… waiting to hear back from the bank at the moment… given the speed with which things are happening on the house front, we may have to settle this after bort &/or volume five arrives…
