::: shoes baby art museum friends robot

(not much of a) narrative — so, a couple of weekends back we went to karuizawa (actual spelling of place name may vary), which is up in nagano prefecture & has, among other things, a giant outlet mall… i can neither confirm nor deny that three additional pairs of shoes were mysteriously discovered in my luggage on my return home…

of course, it wasn’t all shoe shopping — also found time for a visit to the sezon museum of modern art, which is literally stuck in approximately the middle of nowhere but is well worth seeing if you happen to be in the area for, let’s say — & i’m still not confirming or denying anything — shoe shopping…

insert random baby photo — hanachan’s not quite walking yet, but she’s getting there… stands herself up at every opportunity…

not walking, standing

onsenility — then last weekend we headed (let’s say) south to izu with coco & spent a couple of days at an onsen… got gridlocked for a few hours on the way down, but had a great weekend none the less… also found a brochure for a mountain bike park in the hotel lobby…

kitty-chan
that pokemon's got my baby!

& yesterday? we went out to minatomirai to meet up with yuka, who we hadn’t seen since new year…

so what did we do — had lunch, wandered about, caught up, went to toys r us…

oh. my. god.

it’s never too early to get those christmas orders in, right? ah, technology & personality, fused at last… of course, i would have found it much more difficult to walk past the robosaurus if yuka hadn’t already presented me with my very own… wait for it…

THERE'S A ROBOSAPIEN IN THE FRONT ROOM!!!

bwahahahaha! yes indeed, my very own belching robot… watch out, sammy seal…
