psychic archetypes? or just really catchy? we discovered the other day that hana thinks the bananas in pyjamas song is the funniest thing she’s encountered since the night i started dancing… cue outbreak of giggling & animated flapping of arms…
motorshow — spent a day at makuhari messe at the tokyo motorshow a couple of weeks back… was handed about a thousand glossy brochures during the course of an interesting day, lots of cool cars & bikes & some really cool engineering displays – cut away engines & gearboxes & things…
uh, guys — the motorbikes are behind you… that last photo shows some “enthusiasts” enthusiastically taking pictures of the kawasaki-branded women at the kawasaki stand… every single display had the obligatory group of young women handing out information or waving hands at the products & trying not to look too bored… & every single one of those women had an endless stream of guys taking photos &/or video of them, or asking if they’d pose while one of the guy’s friends took photos &/or video… i dunno how much they were making an hour, but it couldn’t have been enough…
Wow. Love the Transport of the Future. I get the impression that the newest lead engineers and designers of the Japanese motor industry are coincidentally also the first to grow up entirely in the Age of Mecha Anime…

OK, completely unrelated to the current post, but… your “Calendarically” section in the sidebar is just excellent. Did you do it by hand, or is there some kind of plugin to do this instead of the incredibly long list you normally get when listing archives by month?
