crouching hulk storm, hidden green guy — oh. my. god.
run, do not walk, run to your nearest cinema & see the not-so-jolly green giant. i don’t think i’m going out on a limb when i say that ang lee’s hulk is the greatest movie ever made. see hulk master tank fu. see hulk pluck helicopters from the sky. see hulk leap like the leapin’-est thing you’ve ever seen leap… the movie is brilliant… it’s cinematically gorgeous… the actors actually act… the hulk looks fantastic… & (leaving aside the entire premise) it’s Not Stupid…

what’s so good about it? okay, well, lemme see…
the pacing — i’ve read reviews that said it takes forever for anything to happen, but i thought the pacing was astoundingly good.
the script — okay, sure, it’s a comic book adaption, but… it is So Not Stupid… there’s none of those jarring How Dumb Is That/How Dumb Are These People moments…
the hulk — i’ve read reviews that said the CG-hulk looked dumb, but honestly, i thought it was as good as (i mean, sure, greener, but as good as) gollum in the lotr…
it’s a triumph — go & see it. ignore reviews written by people who just don’t get it. this is the greatest movie ever made.

- laps — more laps of centennial park on saturday afternoon…
- squash — met up with andrew on sunday morning & went to five dock to play squash… it was so much fun we’re gonna do it again next week… &, i got a bonus three hours on the bike, riding from coogee to marrickville & back again…
- tiny radio-controlled car — andrew bought me one of those tiny little cars! they are just way too cool… it does the best donuts…
